Kolloquien
The main aim of the colloquia is to provide a framework for presenting current research work and projects and for discussing current research topics. This should make it easier for employees and doctoral students in particular - but also for interested students - to exchange experiences and familiarize themselves with new subject areas through a regular discussion forum, but also to further improve cooperation within the faculty.
The research colloquia are primarily intended to provide a framework for inviting external speakers in order to further improve the exchange and discussion of research results.
The following research colloquia are currently taking place at the faculty:
Visual Computing Colloquium
The Visual Computing Colloquium is assigned to the research focus on images and is mainly supported by the following working groups:
- Group Visual Computing (ISG, Prof. Dr. Theisel )
- WG Visualization (ISG, Prof. Dr. Preim )
- Image processing group (ISG, Prof. Dr. Tönnies )
Data and Knowledge Engineering Colloquium
The Data and Knowledge Engineering colloquium is assigned to the research focus knowledge and is mainly supported by the following working groups:
- AG Data & Knowledge Engineering (ITI, Prof. A. Nürnberger )
- WG Databases (ITI, Prof. Dr. Saake )
- Computational Intelligence group (IWS, Prof. R. Kruse )
- WG knowledge-based systems and document processing (IWS, Prof. D. Rösner )
